OUR HISTORY
Acme Stamp was founded in 1949 in Los Angeles, California, and had an initial focus of supplying rubber inspection stamps to local manufacturers. Acme Stamp built its business based on a strong reputation of providing the most durable customized inspection stamps. In 1983, Universal Metal Marking Co. (AS9003 approved), also located in Los Angeles, and a worldwide leader in providing over 30 different identification & marking services on metal parts, saw the opportunity to add value to both companies by acquiring the assets of Acme and renamed it Paramount Stamp Works. Universal Metal Marking is now able to supply world-class inspection stamps to its customers and Paramount Stamp Works gained access to a large, stable, international customer base.
